Abstract.
In classical algebraic geometry it is sometimes better to work with formal schemes rather than ordinary schemes. In tensor-triangular geometry, the Balmer spectrum plays the role of the Zariski spectrum of a ring. In this talk I will associate to a tensor-triangulated category and a thick tensor ideal a locally ringed space which is an analog of the formal spectrum. Examples from algebra and homotopy theory will be given.
