Christian Engström: Spectral theory of block operator matrices and Galerkin approximations

Block operator matrices are frequently used to study coupled systems of partial differential equations and problems with a nonlinear dependence of the spectral parameter. In this talk, I focus on the connections between spectral properties of a class of block operator matrices and Galerkin approximations of eigenvalues.
