Abstract:
Conformal welding, the process of glueing together Riemann surfaces along their boundaries, has played a prominent role in probability theory in recent decades. In this talk, I will give a gentle introduction to conformal welding by discussing different phenomena, results and problems that arise naturally in probabilistic questions.
