Abstract: We give a brief introduction to Strong Rayleigh measures. This is a class of discrete probability measures exhibiting strong negative dependence properties. The measures have recently been used in different settings such as interacting particle systems, the van der Waerden conjecture on permanents, the Kadison-Singer problem and the Traveling Salesman Problem.
