Pankai Vishe: Effective equidistribution and an Oppenheim type result

Abstract: We obtain an effective Ratner type result for a class of Horocycles in the space SL(2,R)\ltimes R^{2k}. We apply this to prove an effective quantitative Oppenheim type statement for the quadratic form (m_1-\alpha)^2+(m_2-\beta)^2-(m_3-\alpha)^2-(m_4-\beta)^2, for (\alpha,\beta)\in R^2 of Diophantine type.
