Odysseas Bakas: A class of thin sets in higher dimensions

Abstract: We present a higher-dimensional extension of a classical result due to Zygmund on lacunary Fourier series. As a consequence, we obtain a sharp multiplier inclusion theorem that connects the aforementioned result of Zygmund with some theorems of Paley, Rudin, and Oberlin. If time permits, we will discuss about some related questions and open problems.
