Abstract: I will discuss a generalization of tropical polynomials: tropical series. I show how they describe a dynamic of a certain sandpile model and present formulae in number theory, suggested by summing the values of tropical series over the vertices of the corresponding tropical curve. This will be a summary of my joint work with Misha Shkolnikov over the past years.
