Abstract
The cyclic sieving phenomenon, CSP, (introduced by Reiner, Stanton and White in 2004) arises when evaluating a q-analog of a family of combinatorial objects in roots of unity gives non-negative integers. Moreover, these integers count the number of fixed-points under a cyclic group action. We give a short introduction to CSP, and survey recent trends in the area of cyclic sieving. We shall also discuss some upcoming results.
