Description: In this PhD course we study evolution equations, with the
heat equation being our main example. After establishing some theory on
operator semigroups in Banach spaces, we will study contractivity
properties, sub-Markovian semigroups and Gaussian bounds for heat kernels.
The further schedule will be decided at the first meeting.
