Mario Kummer: Spaces of Lorentzian polynomials

Abstract: The talk will be about the topology of spaces of Lorentzian polynomials with given support and modulo natural group actions. We determine their topological type in terms of the Dressian. We also discuss different compactifications, when they are homeomorphic to a closed euclidean ball, and how they relate to the Chow quotient of the Grassmannian.
