Kjell Rosquist: The Kerr-Newman metric and the "magic" electromagnetic field

I will discuss properties of the Kerr-Newman metric including multipole structure and causal structure. Particular emphasis will be given to the electromagnetic field in the zero G limit. This field has a very special structure and has been named the "magic field" by Lynden-Bell.
