Jonas Wahl: Compact quantum group and standard invariants

Compact quantum groups and standard invariants of subfactors are intimately connected and there are various construction available to produce one from the other. I will present recent results obtained in collaboration with P. Tarrago that allow us to understand Bichon's free wreath product of compact quantum groups in terms of free products of standard invariants. If time permits, I will also discuss a more analytic connection between both worlds based on recent results of Popa, Vaes and others on the representation theory of semisimple \(C^*\)-categories.
