John Christian Ottem: Cremona transformations and elliptic normal curves.

The talk will be devoted to showing how Cremona transformations give rise to interesting phenomena in birational geometry. Among other things, we give an example of a nef line bundle which is 0 on a countably infinite set of curves. This is joint work with John Lesieutre.
