Abstract: The basic theory for the so called SBP-SAT technique leading to stable schemes is presented. Once that is done, the question is: "how can we use that stability? In this talk we will discuss applications such as non-reflecting boundary conditions, multi-grid formulations, interface procedures, domain decomposition techniques, dispersion reducing schemes, data assimilation, etc.
