Iara Goncalves: Perverse sheaves: not really sheaves, not exactly perverse

In this talk I will give a brief description of how the perverse sheaves have their origin in the intersection homology, their definition as a subcategory of the derived category of sheaves and some basic applications.

I will present an example that is related to the fact that every perverse sheaf has a finite composition series.
