Abstract: In this thesis, we formulate a model of topology change on the metric figure-eight graph via a continuous one-parameter family of vertex conditions. We show that when the parameter θ traverses a closed cycle [0,2 π], the eigenfunctions acquire Berry's phase of π. This demonstrates a direct connection between Berry's phase and topology change in quantum graphs.
