Ellinor Fackle Fornius: Optimum experimental design – a non-technical overview

Abstract: This talk will start with a brief history of experimental design followed by some examples of applications in different areas. I will present an overview of standard designs for linear models as well as designs for nonlinear models including GLMs (Generalized Linear Models). The most commonly used optimality criteria will be introduced. In addition, I will give a summary of some of my own research. All of this will be done with a minimum of technical details.
