Abstract: The thesis is devoted to the study of transcendental numbers - complex numbers that do not satisfy any polynomial with rational coefficients. The purpose of this dissertation is to investigate the transcendence of the numbers \(e\), \(\pi\) and the Liouville numbers. In addition, some general properties of transcendental and algebraic numbers are demonstrated. The main result is the conclusion that \(e\), \(\pi\) and the Liouville numbers are transcendental.
