Dario Giandinoto: Spectral asymptotics of k-Toeplitz matrices

Abstract

A Toeplitz matrix is a matrix with constant entries on its diagonals, while a k-Toeplitz matrix is a matrix with k-periodic entries on its diagonals. In this seminar I will go over the known results about the limiting spectral density of such matrices, what is not known and what could be improved.
