Caleb Eckhardt: C*-algebras generated by irreducible representations of nilpotent groups

C*-algebras generated by irreducible representations of finitely generated nilpotent groups are classifiable by their ordered K-theory within the class of nuclear, simple C*-algebras with finite nuclear dimension that satisfy the UCT. We'll discuss why the previous sentence is true and, time permitting, actually classify some algebras by calculating their Elliott invariant.  Parts of this talk describe joint work with Gillaspy, Kleski and McKenney.
