Andrei Neguţ: Hilbert schemes and their geometry/representation theory

Abstract:

In the derived categories of Hilbert schemes of points on surfaces, there is a nice interplay between geometric features (blow-ups, complete intersections) and representation theoretic results (quantum group actions, character formulas). We will survey recent developments in the field, with an eye toward open problems.
