In this talk we will describe a connection between the homotopy theory of unimodular quasi-Lie bialgebras and the geometry of Batalin-Vilkovisky formalism. This can been seen as a general conceptual framework for results of Mnev in Losev's simplicial program for topological QFTs, a program aiming to replace theories on an infinite-dimensional space of fields on a manifold M with a 'homotopy equivalent' theory on some finite-dimensional space related to a triangulation of M. According to Mnev, this induced structure is computed via Feynman-type integrals, and we (hope to) show that the
result agrees with the structure (rigorously) achieved via homotopy transfer.
