Alexander Berglund: Cohomology of automorphisms of manifolds and graph homology

ABSTRACT: I will talk about the calculation of the stable rational cohomology of the homotopy automorphisms and the block diffeomorphisms of the g-fold connected sum #^g S^d x S^d relative to a disk (2d>4). The result is expressed in terms of certain graph complexes, which, quite surprisingly, are related to Kontsevich's graph complex for computing the cohomology of automorphism groups of free groups. This is joint work with Ib Madsen.
