Weikun He: Dimension of minimal sets for group of circle diffeomorphisms

Abstract: Given a finitely generated group acting on the circle by diffeomorphisms, we study the dimension of its mininal sets. In this talk, I will present a notion of dynamical critical exponent. Combined with other tools such as random walks, conformal measures and variational principle, this gives some characterisation of the Hausdorff and box dimensions of the minimal sets.
