Tilman Bauer: Dieudonné theory

Bicommutative Hopf algebras over a field form an abelian category, thus they are isomorphic to module categories over some ring. Dieudonné theory describes this category. I will give an introduction and then proceed to show how it can be applied to understand the structure of the homology of richly structured spaces, such as loop spaces and E-infinity ring spaces.
