Abstract: Since the majority of the present participants are not specialists in the theory of integrable systems, I shall make very brief introduction to this subject and its relation to complex analysis. I would talk about:
- on what problems are "integrable" people working and how do they treat such problems? (just a few examples and excuses)
- KP/Toda hierarchies and their dispersionless limits
- how the Hele-Shaw flow is related to the dispersionless Toda hierarchy
- how the Loewner equation is related to the dispersionless KP hierarchy
