Sofía Errazuriz: Sigle-view Rolling Shutter SfM (or how to use distortions to our advantage)

Abstract.

Rolling shutter cameras are widely used in today’s technology; however, the Structure from Motion problem in the rolling shutter setting remains largely unsolved, so distortion correction and approximate global shutter solvers are often used instead. In this talk, I will present an approach to rolling shutter Structure from Motion in which the distortions present in a single rolling shutter image can be exploited to reconstruct the camera motion together with 3D world points or lines.
