Olaf Post: Boundary triples associated with quadratic forms

Abstract: In this talk, I will briefly review an approach to boundary triples starting with non-negative quadratic forms and an abstract trace map; defining uniquely a boundary triples. The main example behind this abstract construction is the energy form given by the integral of the squared gradient over an open subset of a complete manifold with sufficiently smooth boundary.
