Robert Schrader: Quantum electrodynamics in halfspace

The topic is motivated by the question, how photons and electrons behave near the plane surface of an ideal conductor. Our proposal leads leads to interesting classical, quantum mechanical and quantum field theoretical questions, some of which we have been able to answer.
