Olof Bergvall: Integral lattices and discriminant forms

In this talk, a lattice will be a finitely generated, free module equipped with a symmetric bilinear form. Lattices over the (rational) integers are called "integral lattices" and the main goal of the talk is to give an introduction to these objects and their invariants. If time permits, we shall also see an example or two on how these turn up in algebraic geometry.
