Lucia Lopez de Medrano: Planar tropical cubic curves of any genus and some generalizations

Abstract: Surprisingly enough there exist planar tropical cubic curves of genus g for any non-negative integer g. During this talk, I will present this result and some generalizations in higher dimension and higher degree. Joint work with Benoît Bertrand and Erwan Brugallé.
