Jaydeb Sarkar: Multivariable operator theory -- a brief survey

Abstract: We will give an overview of some recent developments in the theory of commuting tuples of bounded linear operators on Hilbert spaces, with particular attention to reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces, invariant subspaces, Toeplitz operators, von Neumann inequality and dilation theory. This talk will be accessible to a broad audience.
