Hans Höngesberg: Properties of the quilt lattice

Abstract: Quilts were recently introduced as a broad generalisation of the concept of alternating sign matrices. While their enumeration is hard, it turns out that they form a lattice with beautiful properties, in many cases generalising and expanding on the properties of the lattices of alternating sign matrices. In this talk, I present several such results. This is based on joint work with Matjaž Konvalinka and Martin Rubey.
