Håkan Persson: Approximation of Plurisubharmonic Functions and Stein Neighborhood Bases

In my talk, I will discuss plurisubharmonic analogies of Mergelyan's theorem on holomorphic approximation and relate this problem to Poletsky's notion of plurisubharmonicity on compact sets. As an example of the utility of this kind of approximation, I will also show how it can be used to prove the existence of Stein neighborhood bases for certain Hartogs domains.
