Gustav Sædén Ståhl: Schubert Calculus

I will give an "intuitive" description of the basics of Schubert calculus. Starting with an explanation of projective spaces and Grassmannians, I will define the Chow ring and talk about some of its properties. I will even make an "explicit" computation! This talk will be aimed towards people not doing algebraic geometry and I will most likely ignore all technical/important aspects of the theory.
