G.Mikhalkin: MW-curves in RP3

Abstract. Non-singular rational algebraic curves in the real projective space RP3 can be considered from the knot-theoretic viewpoint. Around 20 year ago Oleg Viro has introduced their invariant (which he called encomplexed writhe). It turns out that the topological type of maximally writhed curves (MW-curves) is unique. Furthermore, these MW-curves have a number of further special topological and geometric properties.
