Peder Thompson: What do we know about cosupport?

Abstract.

A fundamental notion in commutative algebra is the support of a module. Around a decade ago, a dual notion was introduced by Benson, Iyengar, and Krause: the cosupport. However, despite its dual nature, we understand far less about cosupport. In this talk, we will define cosupport, discuss some applications, and outline what we know (and don’t know) about this invariant.
