Annemarie Luger: On what a Nevanlinna function can do for you

Nevanlinna functions (these are functions mapping the upper half plane analytically into itself) and their generalizations appear in different areas of analysis as well as in many applications.
In this talk I am going to introduce these functions (from my point of view) and present two results where they play an important role.
The first result concerns negative eigenvalues of Graph-Laplacians, the second one is connected with applications in the theory of antennas.
