We consider a heat kernel of the Dirichlet Laplacian in a tubular three-dimensional domain. We show that a local twisting of the tube results in a faster large time decay of the corresponding heat kernel with respect to the case of a straight tube. We also discuss some applications of this result. This is a joint work with Gabriele Grillo and Yehuda Pinchover.
