It is well-known that for solutions of elliptic PDE we have smoothness, which in case of real analyticity leads to local restrictions on the zero set. Here we discuss the non-elliptic case of the Klein-Gordon equation in one spatial dimension, and obtain surprisingly that a lattice-cross is a uniqueness set under some additional conditions.
