Björn Gustafsson: On moment coordinates and the string equation

I will discuss some rather interesting structures and identities obtained when simply connected domains in the complex planes are described by using the harmonic moments as coordinates. The ideas in question arose some fifteen years ago in mathematical physics, see for example
