An introduction to Rolling Shutter Cameras - Sofia Errázuriz Muñoz
Rolling Shutter Cameras play a huge role in modern technology; however, the distortion presented in images taken with them present a challenge when reconstructing 3D scenes. In this talk, we will discuss how to model these cameras, what is known about them and some open questions we would like to answer in the future.
When Training a Network becomes Easy. Or Hard - Thomas Grill
Understanding Neural Networks is a challenging task of great significance. After a short introduction to Neuroalgebraic Geometry and semi-algebraic sets, I will motivate why looking at the boundary of a Neuromanifold (which is a semi-algebraic set) can be interesting in practice.
Me, Polytopes and MLDegree - Federico Lazzeri
I will briefly introduce myself, and what I worked on until now. In particular, I will give an overview of the project I started during a summer school in Leipzig about polytopes and MLDegree.
We will have a look at the interaction between combinatorics, algebraic geometry and algebraic statistics, and see how they can help to solve geometric modelling issues.
