This is an introductory meeting for a seminar on algebraic K-theory and derived algebraic geometry. Since K-theory has connections to many parts of algebra, topology and geometry we hope to attract a diverse group of participants. In particular, we want to spend some time on background material in the beginning and avoid technicalities when this aids the presentation.

We hope to use modern machinery to give clean presentations of the constructions. In particular, we want to work in the setting of (stable) infinity categories. But we also want to see some classical results like the theorem of the heart. Then we want to specialize to K-theory of derived stacks.
