Practical information
We have reserved a block of rooms at
Elite Hotel Arcadia
within walking distance of the conference center and the Östermalm neighborhood. The rate is 674kr per person and night in a shared double room and 1197kr in a single room. Also within walking distance of the hotel are several restaurants ranging from simple to moderately fancy. We will book a room for you if you let us know your arrival and departure dates in the registration form.
To get to the hotel from Arlanda airport, the best way is to take the bus (
flygbussarna
) to Stockholm and get off at St Eriksplan, then take bus #4 towards Radiohuset and get off at Valhallavägen (or walk 2km from St Eriksplan). Alternatively, take a bus or train to the central station and then the red subway line #14 towards Mörby and get off at Tekniska Högskolan. If you arrive by train or via another airport (Bromma or Skavsta), you want to make your way to the central station and follow the directions above from there.
We have limited funding for the conference and may be able to support participants (graduate students have precedence). If your attendance is contingent on receiving funding, please state so in the comments section of the application form.
Kräftskiva
On Thursday night there will be a conference dinner, a Swedish traditional feast celebrating the new season's crayfish (kräftskiva). Please indicate any special dietary requirements in the comments section of the application form.
